Dermatohistology

In dermatohistology, microscopic examinations of tissue samples from the skin and subcutaneous tissue are carried out. The aim is to confirm the diagnosis in the case of questionable findings and to make statements about the benign or malignant nature of skin tumours. Tissue samples can also be used to check whether a tumour has been completely removed.

Over 30,000 samples from our own outpatients and inpatients, as well as from referrals from dermatological practices, are analysed in our dermatology clinic every year.
