Infra-red light can be used to detect functional disorders in both the deep and superficial venous system.
A method for determining leaky venous valves. The movement of the blood is made audible by sound waves or visualised in the form of a curve. This allows healthy and diseased vein sections to be visualised.
The ultrasound examination makes the blood flow in arteries (artery) and veins (vein) visible and audible. By changing the colour in the vessel, the direction of blood flow or turbulence in the vessel can be detected very well. This allows the smallest vascular changes to be diagnosed at an early stage.
We carry out this X-ray examination of the veins with the administration of a contrast agent. Phlebography can be used to recognise a thrombosis.
The therapeutic spectrum of our clinic includes the entire surgical spectrum for the removal of side branches and connecting veins in depth as well as sclerotherapy treatments. In addition, the introduction of laser therapy has expanded our range to include bloodless ‘sclerotherapy’ of the large leg veins.
We perform the removal of dilated main veins (crossectomies) in the case of truncal vein insufficiency in collaboration with the vascular surgery department of the hospital.
