In our interdisciplinary ultrasound centre, we perform more than 20,000 examinations per year. The following institutions work together:
In addition to classic imaging techniques such as B-scan, colour and Power Doppler sonography, we also use new methods such as elastography and contrast sonography, as well as special image fusion techniques.
Two residents from the clinic and polyclinic for internal medicine I and one resident each from the institute for X-ray diagnostics, the clinic and polyclinic for surgery, the clinic and polyclinic for internal medicine III and the department of nephrology work in the ultrasound centre on a rotating basis. They are all specially trained in all techniques, including contrast sonography and interventional sonography.
Basic and advanced courses are held regularly in accordance with KV and DEGUM guidelines.
