The Department of Internal Medicine III participates in a number of clinical trials to investigate new treatments. Current clinical trials in the Department of Internal Medicine III are listed in the Clinical Trial Register of the Comprehensive Cancer Centre Eastern Bavaria (CCCO).

The Early Clinical Trial Unit (ECTU) working group at the Comprehensive Cancer Centre Eastern Bavaria (CCCO) is the point of contact for the implementation of early clinical trials.
