Less visible orthodontic treatment

Treatment for adults

Orthodontic treatment is available at any age. With modern, less visible braces, the position of the teeth can be corrected without the braces being visible from the outside. In this way, the high aesthetic demands of adults can be met. The duration of orthodontic treatment depends on the extent of the tooth and jaw misalignment. Purely aesthetic corrections can lead to a visible improvement within just a few weeks.

Cost coverage

The cost of orthodontic treatment is not covered by the statutory health insurance for patients over the age of 18, unless combined orthodontic and maxillofacial treatment is required. The extent to which private health insurance covers the cost of orthodontic treatment depends on the plan, contract, subsidies or grants and should be clarified before treatment begins.
 

Options for less visible orthodontic treatment:

  • Aligner therapy

    A series of almost invisible corrective aligners can be used to treat mild to moderate malocclusions.

  • Lingual technique

    Lingual orthodontics involves bonding either custom-made or pre-fabricated brackets to the inside of the teeth. This means that they are invisible from the outside.
