Classification of peripheral vascular diseases according to the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anaomalies (ISSVA)

Categorising the diseases is difficult and is made even more difficult by vague or incorrectly used terms. A standardised language is essential for the communication of vascular anomalies. The ISSVA classification is used to categorise and standardise the understanding of vascular malformations.
