Vascular Surgery
Expert opinion
The decision for or against an invasive procedure, which can have serious consequences for health and survival, is a challenge. Patients therefore have a need and a right to a second medical opinion before making important treatment decisions.
For certain procedures, such as amputations for diabetic foot syndrome, the second medical opinion is supported by the Federal Joint Committee. It is also possible to get an independent second medical opinion for open or endovascular aortic aneurysm surgery.
If you would like a second opinion, please bring all previous reports, including the images performed, on a CD or in code form (issued by the radiology department that performed the examination).
