Atopic dermatitis (synonym: atopic eczema, neurodermatitis) is a very common disease, especially among children. Most patients suffer from skin dryness and itchy patches of eczema on the skin. In the majority of cases, nourishing creams and, if necessary, anti-inflammatory creams are sufficient, but in some patients this does not achieve sufficient or lasting improvement of the symptoms.
In our atopic dermatitis consultation, we treat in particular those patients who suffer from moderate to severe atopic dermatitis. Taking into account any existing concomitant diseases such as bronchial asthma, suitable treatment options are explored on an individual basis. State-of-the-art therapy methods are used here. In recent years, there have been ground breaking new developments so that even severely affected patients can now experience significant relief.
