In our dermato-oncology department, we treat patients with black skin cancer (malignant melanoma), white skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma) and lymphomas (rare, malignant tumours). From diagnosis to treatment and after-care, we are there for you every step of the way.

Diagnosis

We have all the necessary imaging procedures such as ultrasound, computer tomography (CT), magnetic resonance therapy (MRI) and PET-CT at our disposal for diagnostics. In complicated cases, we discuss the best possible treatment option for the patient with a team of specialists from various disciplines.

Therapy

We use various treatment methods such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy, particularly for malignant melanoma. Immunotherapy activates the body's own defence system's ability to fight cancer cells. Blockages in the patient's own immune system should be released so that the immune defence can destroy the tumour.

Molecular therapy

Novel methods such as targeted cancer therapy (Targeted Therapy) use active substances that are tailored to the specific characteristics of a patient's cancer tumour. They almost exclusively affect the cancer tissue in order to curb tumour growth. The healthy cells remain largely untouched.

Metronomic chemotherapy

Another innovative approach is metronomic chemotherapy. Low-dose chemotherapy is administered frequently, often daily.
